Its 10 month since i joined my first company.When i look back at the past 10months i can be sure that professional life has taught me a lot. Academically i have learnt more than i did in my engineering days. I have started to appreciate the value of education as you move forward in life. I have made a lot of good friends here.But i have to agree that sometimes it gets monotonous and you feel like you had enough. As i look ahead still i am not sure what i will end up doing. But i will take life as it comes and just move on. But i can see light at the corner of the tunnel.

As a Long Journey comes to an END
I am now in my final semester of Engineering(RVCE,Bangalore).4 years of fun, adventure, pranks, and studying is all coming to an end.The fun we had at college we are never going to have such fun again.The friends we made here have become such an integral part of our life.The pranks we played with our friends,teachers are all still in front of my eyes.The times we got caught trying to bunk a class,not paying attention in class(no one does) are memories which i will never forget.The boring lectures,the games we played on the last pages of the book ,talked and talked about everything and anything waiting for the bell to ring,pleading the teacher to end the class.

The moments we laughed at small things,having lunch together,playing cricket.The birthday celebrations,the bumps and the treats cant forget anything.4 years its seems its all gone by in a second before i could realise what was happening its over.The memories are so wonderful that everytime i recollect i get a smile on my face.I can still remember the first day of my college where i was a total stranger and now when i go to college i feel i know everyone they have become so close.
Now in 2 months time we will all be separate dont know what fate has in store for us.Not knowing if we will meet again we will depart.Some will be working ,some doing higher studies and some preparing for some competitve exams.We will all get so busy that we will forget to smile at small things, we will get so money minded that we will stop enjoying Life.I hope everyone have a bright career and have a wonderful and joyous life.May they get everything they want and be happy.Hope someday somewhere we can all meet and share ourselves and go back into the days of college.With a tear in my eye i say goodbye to every dear friend of mine thanking them for making my college Life such a memorable one.

Solution to Sony Dvd Drive Not reading DVD’s/CD’s
“Complete Step by Step Solution – Windows cannot read from this disk. The disk might be corrupted, or it could be using a format that is not compatible with windows”..
When U insert a dvd(which was burnt and not an original dvd) into a sony DVD writer it gives the error “Windows cannot read from this disk. The disk might be corrupted, or it could be using a format that is not compatible with windows”
Solution:
1.Download NECWinFlash.exe for WIN32 GUI from http://binflash.cdfreaks.com/#download
2.Download the firmware for Sony DVD Writer model from http://liggydee.cdfreaks.com/page/en/
Search for your Drive Firmware. Your drive model can be found out from Nero or by ‘Right Click properties-Drivers of you DVD drive’
3.My DVD writer was Sony DVD-RW AW-G170a and my drivers was found on http://liggydee.cdfreaks.com/page/en/Optiarc-AD-7170A/
The extension of the driver will be “.bin”.
4.Restart your comp in SAFE MODE (Otherwise u’ll get checksum error)
5.Now run NECWinFlash.exe.
6.There click on flash.
7.Browse to where u saved ur driver file (extension is .bin)
8.Flash ur drive and enjoy a complete new firmware 🙂

Placements At RVCE
Placements are in full swing at the RVCE campus for the year 2008-2009.Around 60-70 campus have visited RVCE companies from the last 3 months.This year placements started with Wipro Vlsi visiting on july 8th 2008.From then on almost everyday there has been a company visiting our campus for recruitment. RVCE the top engineering college under the VTU is known for its placements and is keeping upto the reputation this year also. I am glad that i have choosen RVCE. The exposure and oppurtunities is just enormous.I should agree that Computer science branch has gained majorly from this placements as the opputunities for them are plenty.The dream companies are CISCO,MICROSOFT,YAHOO,THOUGHTWORKS and many more.Almost 90 percent of the students are placed in atleast one company and by the end of march next year all the students will surely be placed keeping up the record of 100 percent placements.

GRE-22 sept’08-A day that was not so good(Quant-770 Verbal-520)
The day had finally arrived,3 months of preparation was going to be finally decided in 3 hours.I got up around 6am,did the morning routine and then started out to the test center with my friend Rahul.We found the place easily(it was in lavell road).Then reaching there we had to fill out some details .Then entered the hall at 9am.I just meditated for a few seconds and started.Theissue topic and argument topic went through fine.I took a ten minutes break.I came back and was full ready for next question.Then i was expecting the verbal section first but got quant section first.I went through the first questions cleanly and slowly and solved most of them.Then around 18th question i realised i was running out of time. i had 10 question to answer in 10 min.I got tensed and two my bad luck a question on data analysis came and i wasted 3 min on that question.I did 3 more question time was running out and i guessed the remaining 5 questions. I was depressed quant was my stronghold and i had messed it up. thought would get around 700.
After a minute the verbal section came up.I was in No mood after my quant.I took it casually and started marking upon my insticts not reasoning much.To my knowledge most of the words from Baron’s . I got three passages in total.The first passage was ok.the other two were bad so had left hopes in both the sections now.Then i thought about cancelling my test and finally clicked on result .The result was Quant-770 and verbal-520. Not the score i was aiming for but it was not bad either.But a three month dream had ended rather subdued.I walked out of the test center dejected.

The Future Of INDIA
I believe INDIA has got a great future and v should all get together towards makin INDIA developed nation.Come lets join hands in making INDIA a better place to live in. Each person in INDIA is responsible for the future.U shouldn’t blame it on an individual ,or the government or the administration for what happens the people to be held responsible are ourselves.Start thinking !! U should be proud about your nation. And coming to the point how each one help build a better future for India is firstly, help the people around you. Secondly,stop bribery.Thirdly,take responsibilty of things happening around you and do something by yourself rather than waiting for someone else to do the work for you.Fourthly,think positively and enjoy each moment of your life.

Presently i am doing my engineering in one of the reputed college in the state RV college of engineering.I m a person who thinks a right balance of work and play is what is nedded for the growth of an individual.Whatever be the situation we are in we should always think positively and have a positive attitude towards life.Mistakes happen no one is perfect but one who learns from his mistakes will go long way in his life.Whenever u go higher up in the ladder of success never forget the people who helped u get there.
